What can we say – The most beautiful setting for your lovely
home – we heard nothing but bird song! Had a lovely walk with picnic to
find Chris Stewarts house and gosh was it worth it! Drove to Marina Del
Este for lunch and walked in beautiful sunshine. I'm sure we will return
to this wonderful place.

As you already know, we have had a fantastic time here for a week. It's
only a shame it didn't last longer but we will come back for more. And with
the three of us next time. We will keep in touch and let you know how it

| Just wanted to thank you again for your hospitality and say that we really
enjoyed being in your lovely finca, you have done yourselves proud, so much
so, that when we arrived at our 4 star hotel in Roquetas de Mar, we were
saying that there was no comparison with your place. Unlike your place the
rooms were plain and bare with little imagination and the furnishings simple.

Following our visit this year, we have decided to come again early in
the coming year. We can then look forward to enjoying your fine villa, gardens
your lovely pool and truly amazing scenery once again. Thank you for the

Your place is more or less like paradise on earth, so many flowers, so many
roses and fruit trees, so many birds singing the best they can and such
an amazing sky, full of big stars. It was ideal and we enjoyed every bit

Spectacular mountain views, blue skies and sunshine, top quality accommodation
and a pool by which to relax. What more could one need to enjoy a perfect
holiday? Well there were exhilarating walks in the mountains with more
views and wild flowers of every colour, the pretty white-washed villages
where we enjoyed typical Alpujarran food. A return trip to see more of
the beautiful city of Granada and also to sample a day's skiing in the
Sierra Nevada is a must. There simply was not enough time to do it all. |
We have had a really relaxing short break at your beautiful
place. You were really great hosts and your warmth and care added an
extra dimension to our holiday. The apartment was immaculate and the
setting absolutely stunning. We are coming back again this year for
a week as we all liked it so much. |

Lovely! Lovely! Lovely! We have had such a great time. BIG thank you
to you both for being so kind, thoughtful and a fabulous ‘background'
support and full of local knowledge. I must return to sample more alternative
therapies, the music scene and meet more of Zoe and Nigel's fascinating
friends and hopefully the gorgeous Manolo de; Molinillo! With fondest
best wishes.

| Our holiday at Cortijo el Castano was beautiful and memorable in every
sense;- it's setting, surrounded by the mountains, the bougainvillea and
olive trees, and the casa itself in its stunning Morrocan style, with features
to admire from every angle. The smells of not only the flowers in bloom,
but of the fresh and clean air and the crisp white sheets on our comfortable
bed. The most amazing sounds of splashing in the pool and the delightful
calls of creatures day and night gently echoing around, reminding us they
are part of this natural world. The touch of only high quality facilities
which enabled us to enjoy many a relaxing day in and out of the warmth of
the sun. Zoe and Nigel were welcoming, around when you needed them for local
knowledge, and not around when absolute solitude was the preferred option.
Would we return one day? Absolutely, and in a flash.... hence making a return

This is the perfect retreat for anyone wishing to leave behind the stresses
and strains of city life in favour of a return to something simpler and
more nourishing. It's a beautiful oasis of calm – from the riotous tumbling
pots of plumbago and pelargonium to the welcome shade of the simple courtyards.
The pleasure of being able to pluck fruit from the trees and herbs from
the garden made every meal time a creative adventure, and the smells and
tastes were, for me, as vivid as the dramatic scenery. Zoe and Nigel have
spared no effort or expense in creating this lovely home and it bears
the unmistakable hallmark of a labour of love, which they generously share
with their guests. It's a place I will return to, in my mind, my heart
and in my hire car! |
| Just to say what a great holiday we had staying in your apartment. What
appealed to me was how you managed to strike a superb balance between providing
elegant and quality surroundings/facilities and at the same time creating
a homely and friendly atmosphere. I would also like to mention the attention
to detail – absolutely everything we could possible y need was provided.
It goes without saying that the surroundings are beautiful and the pool
